[Global Network Technology Comprehensive Report] On March 11, according to WeChat's official announcement, WeChat Moments now supports publishing long videos within 5 minutes, and users can directly select or shoot long videos from the album to upload them.
The reporter personally tested and found that after clicking the "Camera" icon in the upper right corner of the circle of friends, you can select the "Shooting Photos or Videos" function to record videos. In addition, users can also directly select videos from their mobile phone albums by clicking the "Select from Album" button. If you choose a video that is less than 5 minutes, you can directly publish it to your Moments; if the video you choose is more than 5 minutes long, you need to crop it to less than 5 minutes before you can publish it.
It is worth noting that when Moments was first launched, it only supported the release of 15-second short videos. By 2021, with the release of WeChat version 8.0.3, WeChat has extended the duration limit of WeChat Moments videos from 15 seconds to 30 seconds. If the video length exceeds the 30-second limit, you need to upload the video to the video account first, and then forward and share it to your friends through the video account. (Qingshan)
